Privacy notice

Last updated 11 October 2026

Draft: to be reviewed by our lawyer before launch.

How Nova uses your data, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

What we keep

Your account: username, email, and a scrambled (hashed) password, or your Google sign-in.

Your life in the game: what you did, your money and your things, so the game can carry on and check that nobody cheats.

What you write and say to other players: messages, voice notes and posts.

Payments: the amount, what it bought and its status. Paystack handles your card; we never see your card number.

Security records: what was done, when, and from which internet address, so we can stop abuse.

Why

To run the game, keep it fair and safe, take payments and answer you. We do not sell your data. Advertisers see only how many people saw and tapped their ads.

Who else touches it

Paystack (payments), our hosting and email providers, and OpenAI for the court’s judge and the help bot (only what you write there). Each works for us under contract.

Your rights

You can download everything we hold about you (Settings → Your data, or your account page) and delete your account. Deleting erases your personal data; we keep payment amounts and anonymous game records because the law and other players’ history need them.

To ask about your data, or complain, write to hello@nova.ng. You can also contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Counting visits

We count visitors with a random number kept in your browser, never your name. The count cannot be traced back to you.
